The annaul Boo Benefit is happening now in Jefferson, TX, just 55 miles from Shreveport. Yesterday's events included a poker run, bike games, bike show, raffles, an auction, live music, great food and much more. The town of Jefferson, with their usual hospitality opened their doors with welcoming arms. The Boo Crew was at every intersection directing traffic, and they needed to be as the crowds remained well into the night. As usual, the event did not let me down. One musical group from Whitehouse, TX, Dazed, made up of four young men and playing classic rock, were most impressive. Check them out on Facebook/Dazed the band. "The essential to budget travel is to approach onward. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the truth of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our minds. Considering and consuming our travel budget carefully is a priority for most families. Minimizing expending and costs, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed accomplishment and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking behind economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal funds is incredibly limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, regardless of whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel bill!..". There are plenty of vendors and food at the venue, but I must say that I was disappointed in the vendors that are charging $5 for a soda fountain coke that is mostly ice. Vendors should understand that people realize food and drink prices may be higher than usual at events, but they should still be reasonable, At this event, beer was cheaper than coke. Still, many of the food vendors, such as Jay Leopard's Custom Paint Cafe offered great prices, like $2.00 for a delicious meat pie. If you have time to ride and enjoy a great event, it's not too late to head over to Jefferson and enjoy some live music by Sweet Pain on the Budweiser stage. They will be performing from 1-3 pm. Many of the vendors will be breaking down today, but I understand if you get there before noon, many will still be set up.
