Today is the day of the Big Game, the biggest game in all of sports, the Super Bowl. They fly from their designated cities to the city where the Big Game is taking place.
Before air travel became the primary method of transportation, professional sports teams mainly traveled by passenger train, the same trains normal passengers rode. The professional sports world has changed drastically from way back when, and their methods of travel have changed as well with teams now having their own planes, but the railroad was part of the early history of professional sports. Many college and minor league sports teams occasionally travel by train today.
