The Bunker Hill Train Club will be hosting their semi-annual Model Train Show and Sale, the largest in the Eastern West Virginia Panhandle region, on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Ranson Civic Center in Ranson, West Virginia. The show will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm and will feature model railroad layouts from the Shenandoah Potomac Valley Garden Railroad Club. There will be over 140 tables of vendors who will be selling all scales of model railroads, scenery supplies, and railroad memorabilia to include shirts, hats, books, photos, and so much more. They will be selling raffle tickets for railroad items to include a new Rivarossi Allegheny 2-6-6-6 locomotive which is being given away at 1:00pm. There will also be a featured talk by Jeff Hollis titled Railroading in the Eastern Panhandle in the Past.
The Ranson Civic Center is located at 431 W. 2nd Avenue in Ranson, West Virginia just a few blocks from WV 115 and easily accessible from U.S. 340 from Maryland and Route 9 from Virginia. If you normally make bets at the Hollywood Casino in Charles Town, then take a five minute trip to the Bunker Hill train Club Show where admission is $4.00 for adults and children 12 and under are free where you will be assured to get something for the money you put in.
The Bunker Hill Train Club hosts two shows a year. "The important to budget travel is to plan in advance.
