Deals for everyone at Devil's Thumb Ranch, where kids can learn to cross country ski for free while parents hit the trails on their own or get pampered at the Ranch Creek Spa. The ranch has partnered with Winter Trails Organization and Colorado Cross Country Ski Areas Association for Kids Ski Free Days, as part of a nationwide effort to introduce kids to Nordic Sports. Devil's Thumb Ranch's Kids Ski & Learn Free package gives kids 12 and under a free lesson, equipment, and trail pass, while the parents get time on the trails for $18/person a day or get a 50-minute spa treatment at $89. Hot Stone and Hot Towel treatments are $10 extra. Just under three hours away, it's a sweet deal for Colorado Springs residents to get their kids on skis and while relaxing and having fun on their own. COST: Free for any child 12 years and younger
LESSON TIMES:
10:30 am to noon
1:30 to 3 pm
Participants are requested to check in at least 15 minutes prior to the lesson time
RESERVATIONS: Recommended but not required for the kids ski free package, which can be made by calling the Devil's Thumb Ranch Activities Center at 970-726-8231.

Drop your child or children off and enjoy time on the trails (trail passes are $18 for day guests) or enjoy a specially priced 50-minute treatment of your choice at Ranch Creek Spa for $89. Hot Stone and Hot Towel treatments are also available for a $10 upgrade. Includes access to Aromatherapy, Steam Room and Sauna in the Spa, with lockers and showers also available to spa guests.
