Coin collectors will be looking forward to new quarters that will be issued beginning in 2010 as part of a program by the U.S. Mint called America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
A multi-year program that will mint five new quarters each year (2010 2021), the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park quarter will be issued in 2012.
In all, 56 national parks and sites have been selected by the U.S. Mint. The key to budget travel is to approach onward. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the actuality of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our thoughts. Arranging and spending our travel budget correctly is a priority for most families. Minimizing spending and charges, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed accomplishment and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding protecting money while traveling is simple: Even if your personal funds is really small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, regardless of whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!. The parks and sites will be featured on the reverse side of the quarter (tails) with a restored image of George Washington on the front (heads)
According to the U.S. Mint, the quarters will be issued sequentially each year, in the order in which the featured site was first established as a national park or site.
The five United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters to be released in 2010 will honor the following national sites:
Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Yosemite National Park, California
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon
The U.S. Mint believes the designs will reinvigorate interest in our national parks, forests, fish and wildlife refuges, and other national sites, as well as educate the public about their importance to us and our history.
