Wyndham Hotels and Resorts operates several hotel chains throughout North America, including Ramada Inns, Days Inn, Baymont Inn & Suites, Travelodge and Knights Inn, as well as their upscale properties of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Grand Collection, and Hawthorn Suites. Wyndham Reward Points can be used towards a huge variety of choices including:
- Free nights at any Wyndham property.
- Dining gift cards for restaurants including Applebees, Chilis, Olive Garden or Starbucks
- Merchandise gift cards for stores like Amazon, iTunes, Bed Bath & Beyond or Omaha Steaks.
- Tickets to AMC theatres, Sea World or Busch Gardens, or the latest Entertainment Book
- Donations to the Starlight Childrens Foundation, Hole in the Wall Camps or Christel House.
Fortunately Wyndham has made the entry process pretty simple. Consumers simply upload a picture and description of their Horrible Gift by January 10, 2012. (Make sure to follow the rules about the photo.) Up to 5 entries per person are allowed. You do have to join the Wyndham Rewards program, but thats free to do so. Wyndham will then pick the top 5 finalists before the public gets to vote on who wins the two million points. No purchase is necessary.
While the top prize is Two Million Wyndham Rewards points, with an approximate retail value of $10,000, there are also four runner-up prizes of 25,000 points as well.
