Once safely landed, tourists are offered a barrage of transportation options. From bus service directly downtown for the day travelers, to personal taxis, and literally hundreds of the aforementioned rental bikes and golf carts, no one landing on the island dock will be left stranded.
With a wide array of hotels, bed and breakfasts, and even a campground, South Bass offers a wide array of accommodations. And, while day trips by ferry are popular with the local crowd, for out-of-towners, spending more than a day here is highly recommended. Though small, the island and the town of Put-in-Bay have much to offer in terms of sightseeing and local culture.
