Green Knights Mentorship Ride at Barksdale AFB, Thursday, Oct 20
2 BW Monthly Mentor Ride, sponsored by the Green Knights Chapter 75, will be held 20 Oct 11 at 1 pm at Chapel 2. We will have a short safety brief then head out for the ride. The ride should last about 2 hours. The monthly ride will be held the 3rd Thursday of every month, same time and same meeting location. You dont have to be a member of the Green Knights to ride. Run with the Nuns takes on Texas Street, Shreveport Downtown area, from 5-10 pm with great food, brew and fun. Visit the 600 block of Texas Street; come after work and enjoy food, a beer garden, a FREE showing of "Wild Hogs" on the Movies and Moonbeams big screen in the middle of Texas Street, Games, a Zombie Race, and the opportunity to see both "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "Art of the Road" at artspace.

Gray Ghost Poker Run in Alexandria, LA, Saturday, Oct 22
If you want a longer ride, head south to Alexandria for the benefit Poker Run, hosted by the local Gray Ghost Chapter (Rapides Parish). Registration is at Renegade Harley-Davidson with first bike out at 9 am, and last bike in at 2 pm. Register from 9 am to noon. Cost for the poker run is $10, and food is $5 a plate. Ends at AM Vets.
Steak at Our Place, Elm Grove, Sunday, Oct 23
Our Place in Elm Grove always deserves rave reviews as a local establishment that supports bikers. And, Sunday afternoon is a great time to ride Lake Bistineau and enjoy a steak, baked potato and salad, all for just $12.
