As the weather warms up you may be looking for fun outdoor events that hardly cost a dime. Morris Arboretum, located at 100 E. Northwestern Avenue, hosts over 90-acres of vibrant gardens. With the $16.00 admission fee you can enjoy the gardens, trees, sculptures, antique buildings and fun activities for kids and the family with an included guided tour.
Besides general admission, there are a number of events and tours you are able to participate in without any additional cost. The Tree Adventure allows you to learn about the trees and experience them from different heights. There is also the Garden Railway Display which premieres May 28 and goes until Sept. 5. This displays theme, Painted Ladies, will showcase Victorian houses seen throughout the country. During the summer, Morris Arboretum hosts events like the Train Weekend and Circus Week. All of these events are showcased during specific dates and time that are listed below.
The Arboretum is part of the University of Pennsylvania and is the official arboretum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. "The important to budget travel is to approach onward.
