At 6:00 p.m. many merry Burbankians will assemble in front of their City Hall for a tree lighting ceremony that will ignite the 2010 Christmas season. Santa Claus, himself, will be making a special appearance on the first of December to illuminate a 36-foot tall Christmas tree big enough that people can walk through it. Afterwards the jolly man will lead the crowd in a parade to Santas Downtown Wonderland.
The ceremony initiates the first of twelve cheerful days filled with free music, deals on shopping, and family fun. Holiday sing-a-longs, choirs, free hot chocolate, along with breakfast beside Santa and his elves are a few festive things to do this Winter. There will be DJs, free photos, Holly Trolley tours, and a Metrolink train cloaked in ornaments. Check the website for a more detailed list of dates and times for each event.
Ticket Prices: Admission to the Twelve Days of Christmas is free.
