Motorcycle-Maps has created a new program for the enjoyment of motorcyclists in the southeast United States.
Called the Motorcycle-Maps 2013 Passport to North Carolina, this program will offer motorcyclists more than just great motorcycling roads. This successor to the popular paper map program, launched in 2010, and the later version of mobile apps for cell phones, combines not only the routes that bikers love to ride but also a listing of biker-friendly businesses throughout the Tar Heel State and a chance to win some fabulous biker-related prizes.
The passport program will unite the motorcyclist with the business owner for immediate feedback for both. With coupons in the passport packet, bikers can visit listed businesses for discounts and while there, get a stamp (cancellation) in the passport book. The business owners get feedback from their advertising dollars by realizing increased traffic from the passport program.
In addition, Motorcycle-Maps has worked closely with North Carolina Tourism to include points of interest to make traveling through the state much more than just a ride from point A to point B.
The cost of the passport packet is $30 and includes over $1,000 in discount coupons, a 2013 edition of Motorcycle-Maps North Carolina map with vendors and routes along the side, a vest patch, and various other smaller items like pens and nail files or other items contributed by vendors.
Pre-ordered packets, available online through PayPal, will be mailed out in February and will also be available for purchase at participating businesses advertising with the passport program. Motorcycle-Maps is also working with clubs and groups within the state on how they can use the program as a fundraiser.
Once the packets are received, motorcyclists have until October 15, 2013 to visit as many vendors as possible around to state to take advantage of the discounts and to get the booklet stamped. The stamped coupons must then be mailed back to Motorcycle-Maps by November 15, 2013 for prize qualification. On December 1, 2013, prizes will be mailed to the winning participants.
Prizes will be awarded based on a percentage of stamped or completed coupons in various categories. In addition, a grand prize winner will be drawn from all completed booklets. Some of the items being offered as prizes include a full-length leather duster, leather vests, Oakley sunglasses, gas cards, a weekend away at a North Carolina lodging participant, Badazz bedroll, Ride Like a Pro DVD set, and much more.
This program is meant to give bikers the thrill of riding new routes in the Tar Heel State and a chance to discover what North Carolina has to offer from the Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge Mountains and all the areas between.
The North Carolina Passport Program is a pilot offering for Motorcycle-Maps. The company is looking to expand this program into other states or regions in the future. "The key to budget travel is to approach in advance. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the actuality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our thoughts. Planning and spending our travel budget wisely is a concern for most families. Curbing expending and expenses, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed achievements and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding protecting money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal funds is extremely limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, regardless of whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!..". Regional maps may include such destinations as Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and North Carolina or the Lincoln Heritage Trail in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.
