Walk in the steps of stars with Portland filming locations

For many years now, Portland has been a wonderful place for filmmakers to come and make their movies and TV shows. With the tax rebates and beautiful shooting locations, not to mention that there arent as many people to get in the way of filming, making a show in the Portland area is very attractive.

Take a walk downtown and you will see many of the same sights youve seen on the show Leverage (which still films in Portland), the movie Extraordinary Measures and the end of a season of Amazing Race. You can see Portland neighborhoods in movies like Untraceable, Drugstore Cowboy and Ramona and Beezus. Further out, you can see different filming locations. Go to Astoria to see where The Goonies and The Ring Two were filmed. NBCs new show Grimm will be set in and filmed in the Portland area and youll be able to watch it starting fall of 2011. Fred Armisen of SNL fame films his show, Portlandia, around Portland, too.

Incredible actors have walked the same streets as you have or will when you visit Oregon.
