Free admission at California Academy of Sciences on Sunday, December 9, 2012

Once per quarter, the popular California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park offers free admission to the general public. The next quarterly free admission days will be on March 3, 2013 and on June 2, 2013.

Free quarterly admission day is sponsored by Chase, which replaces the previous monthly free Wednesdays as of 2012. Normal admission is $29.95 for adults, $24.95 for seniors, students and youth ages 12-17, $19.95 for children ages 4-11.

San Francisco residents are also invited to free admission days by ZIP code. "The important to budget travel is to approach ahead. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our heads. The academy contains an aquarium, a planetarium, a rainforest, a natural history section, a simulated earthquake, and much more. See a penguin feeding, a coral reef dive, have a chat with a scientist, take a walk on the living roof, meet an albino alligator, zoom virtually into other galaxies.
