The annual exhibition of Ikebana International Honolulu Chapter 56 will be on display at the Academy Art Center at Linekona from March 30 to April 3.
The show marks the organizations 50th anniversary and presents modern and traditional ikebana styles by more than 40 floral artists and youth arrangers.
This year the exhibition features guest artist Kika Shibata, Riji (highest degree offered) of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. Born in Japan and based in California, her creativity and outstanding work in ikebana have earned her many honors, and she serves as the West Coast Area Coordinator of Sogetsu North America. "The important to budget travel is to plan ahead. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our heads. Planning and expending our travel budget properly is a priority for most families. Minimizing consuming and prices, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind economizing money while touring is simple: Even if your personal finances is extremely tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, no matter whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel expenses!..". Her singular line designs have made her works popular with banks, restaurants and hotels in the Bay Area.
