Russo's Monday Motorcycle Night (Photos)

Whether you ride a Harley or a Honda, a Kawasaki or an Indian, if you are a motorcyclist, then you need to make plans to attend Monday Motorcycle Night at Russo's Pizza in Glenwood Springs, CO.

Held every Monday evening from May until October (beginning at about 6 pm), Bike Night is a great way to kick off the week. With discounts on food and drinks, plus great door prizes, it's the perfect excuse to get the scooter out and enjoy a slice of New York pizza heaven. Everyone is welcome at this weekly event, but in order to get a raffle ticket for the door prizes, you need to ride your motorcycle to Russo's.

Russo's is located in the Meadows shopping center, at 40 Market Street. As the summer reaches it's peak, it is not unusual to see close to 100 bikes, plus scads of riders outside, enjoying the warm evenings and friendly conversation. While at Russo's, be sure to try out one of their many delicious salads, hot wings, and of course, the pizza! Russo's is true New York-style pizza all the way, meant to be folded down the middle and eaten...no forks allowed! Russos's also offers beer on tap or in the bottle, and wine as well. In addition to the weekly Monday night gathering, Russo's owner, Frank, plans weekend group rides throughout the summer. In past summers, riders have traveled to Gateway, Frisco, Steamboat Springs, and Crawford, just to name a few.

The first weekend ride will be this Saturday, May 21st, 2011. The group will be meeting in the parking lot of the Mt. View Church (next to the former Buffalo Valley Restaurant off Hwy. 82) at 9:15 am. They will be leaving at 9:30 SHARP, so don't dink around at the coffee shop for too long! The route is as follows: Take Hwy. "The key to budget travel is to plan ahead. Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel bill!..". 82 to Carbondale (133), stop in Redstone for 10 minutes, then over McClure Pass and into the gas station at Hotchkiss, allowing everyone to gather up. Take 92 down into Crawford for lunch at the Black Canyon cafe at around noon. They will be leaving Crawford around 2-2:30 pm, and will get back home to Glenwood (after pit stops, photos, etc.) at around 5 p.m.
