It's a very challenging 24 hoursin air travel, with the crash of Continental Flight 3407into a house a few miles from the Buffalo airport last night leaving 50 dead, including at least one on the ground. Investigations of the cause of the crash of the commuter propeller-driven airplane operated by Colgan Air for Continental Express are already underway. One of the victims was the widow of a man killed on 9/11.

Now, what is being characterized as a "hard landing" of aBritish Airways plane carrying 76 passengers at London City Airport in London, Englandlooks to be the miracle story of the day, with only two of the 76 people on the plane needing hospitalization. London City Airport, which primarily serves relatively short region and inter-Europe flights, is presently closed while the incident is investigated, according to the London City Airport website.
