Insectarium or Aquarium- If your family likes nature or science these two locations are an excellent fit for you. Tip - Buy the tickets together for a discount.
Bowling or Skating - Although a more 'normal' activity with a rainy day outside the opportunity for a multi player activity will add a much needed spice to your day without breaking the bank.

Blue Bayou - the ultimate in outdoor entertainment. With the combination of waterpark and amusement park, this attraction provides days of fun for the whole family.
Kiroli Park - Located in West Monroe, La. If you're in the area it's a nature lovers dream, and a definite low cost adventure.
The Zoo - Be it in Baton Rouge or New Orleans the zoo in either location is a treat for the whole family, and each offers it's own unique attractions.
Swamp Tours - Whether you've been on a swamp tour before or not, heading out to the swamps is always fun.
