Former Charlestonresident, Sam Trammell, who plays the loveable shape-shifter Sam Merlotte, on HBOs hit series, True Blood, will be returning home this October. On the show, Trammell shifts from his handsome human form to many types of animals including, a cute cuddly Collie, a fly (he actually got to be a fly on the wall. How many of us have actually wanted to be flies on the wall?) and even into a bull.
This October however, Sam will be shifting from Hollywood star back to humble Charlestonian. Trammell is very excited about returning to Charleston saying, I really am thrilled to be coming back to Charleston. I consider Charleston my home
Unfortunately, Charleston wont have him in town for long. He will be returning to participate in Charlestons first four-day Halloween event, HallowEast, organized by East End Main Street.
Trammell will be appearing during HallowEast on October 30, 2009 for several events including a special Inside the Main Street Studio Interview, where David Wohl, dean of arts & humanities at West Virginia State University, will be interviewing Trammell.
If you are not able to get your Sam fix while hes in Charleston, be sure to tune infor the third season of True Blood, which is set to debut in June 2010.
