Starting today, June 6, Preferred Hotels is sponsoring an on line benefit sale to help victims of the March Japan earthquake with more than 190 properties, including the Huntley in Santa Monica, the Orlando Summit in LA, Montage Beverly ills, Surf & Sand Laguna have donating rooms that will go for $50 to $250 a night.
To get on the band wagon go to: www.Vacationist.com, and participate in the private sale site presented by Travel + Leisure and Luxury Link where participating hotels include properties from Italy to India, China to France, and all across North America.
Called Check-In for Japan benefit sale (www.checkinforjapan.com )-- 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale will go to American Red Cross disaster relief efforts for those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
In cooperation with Vacationist.com, Preferred Hotel Group will feature 21 different member hotels every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through June 24, 2011. Donated rooms will be offered at significantly reduced rates, from $50 up to $250 per night. The Check-In for Japan (www.checkinforjapan.com ) offers will be valid for 48 hours, or until the rooms have sold out. Stays must be completed by December 31, 2011.

The earthquake and tsunami in Japan hit especially close to home for Preferred Hotel Group, as we have 10 member hotels and countless more friends and associates in Japan. The desire and energy for our hotels around the world to donate and respond proactively to help their fellow partners has been tremendous.
In addition to creating Check-In for Japan, a significant donation has been made to the American Red Cross through the John and Gail Ueberroth Family Foundation via Preferred Hotel Groups corporate social responsibility program, GIFTTS (Great Initiatives For Today's [Tomorrow's] Society), providing an additional platform for company associates to donate.
