I received the ROADGEAR Adaptive-Tec Jacket just as we were heading into the coldest months of winter when there wouldnt be a lot of riding going on. I finally got a chance to give it a limited test while teaching a Basic Rider Course in January. I had ordered the jacket in a large. Im a woman who typically wears an XL or Large. This large was very big on me. The fit was awkward, with long arms and extended lower back coverage that kept riding up. I did note good motorcycle features like retro-reflective tape and tougher fabric in places where youd find armor in other motorcycle jackets.

I found that I was very comfortable while wearing the coat outside, all day, in the middle of January in Colorado, with only a long sleeve t-shirt on underneath. The coat is so light, that you expect to be cold, but it absolutely kept me at an even comfortable temperature. The only riding I was able to do with it were the demonstrations for the class, and I didnt feel like it was very windproof. However, because I was sure the coat would fit a man better and I wasnt going to be wearing it much, I gave it to my friend Ken to try it out. Here is his review:

It was apparently very attractive, as this 53-year-old was complimented more than once for how it looked. It's lightweight, comfortable, soft to the touch, and very compact, which makes it easy to pack. I couldn't really wear it alone as it was 38 degrees when I left home, but I wore a warm-weather jacket with no liner. My jacket is very snug on me, but the RoadGear Adaptive-Tec jacket fit comfortably under it. I managed to get in a couple of miles without anything over it, and it was surprisingly warm with my neck and hands freezing immediately while my arms and torso remained toasty. I would not say it is windproof, but it is definitely wind resistant, much more so than a sweatshirt. It will be a great jacket to keep around for a ride home at night after it has cooled off, and it doubles as a great liner under a jacket that is not quite up to the task in colder weather.

Ken and I agree that the jacket does keep the rider perfectly warm, although it is not hugely windproof. It fit Ken very well and looked great on him, while I didnt even want to continue to try it out because I felt like I had bunched-up material everywhere. The RoadGear Adaptive-Tec Jacket is a go-to jacket for year round riding as a cool night cover in summer and the perfect fitting inside layer in cooler weather. "The important to budget travel is to approach in front. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our mind. Organizing and expending our travel budget carefully is a consideration for most families. Minimizing consuming and charges, while still taking pleasure in your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding protecting money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal budget is extremely small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, regardless of whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel costs!..". Find it at the ROADGEAR website.
