Another busy week in travel means more Fall and holiday travel deals as airlines offer cheap flights for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Autumn. Now is the time to shop for deals and as the holidays get closer, don't wait or you will miss out.
Also this past week, we took a look at one of the most beautiful areas of California, Tahoe, as a hike up one of the highest peaks led to spectacular views. As the week closed, there were some great tips on finding the cheapest flights and why you can't find some of these on online travel sites.
Monday
Hiking to the highest peak in Tahoe - hiking to Round Top near Kirkwood leads to some fabulous views of lakes and Lake Tahoe. One of the highest peaks in the Sierra Basin, it's a tough climb but good exercise and well worth the view.
Tuesday
Southwest extends $49 - $109 Fall airfare sale, Frontier offers refundable flights for September - Southwest offered one of their lowest airfare sales of the year while Frontiers has fully refundable flights on sale for September with no advanced purchase.
Wednesday
Continental's Thanksgiving airfare sale: RT cheap flights for domestic travel - Continental is the first airline to offer Thanksgiving travel deals. Get cheap flights for Thanksgiving and take advantage of these deals as they won't last long.
More Fall and Thanksgiving travel deals on Frontier Airlines as low as $39 - Frontier offered another an East of the Mississippi airfare sale with great deals for Fall travel. With a little flexibility, Thanksgiving travel was a possibility as well.
Thursday
Celebrate the Mexico Bicentennial with travel deals to Mexico - In honor of the Mexico Bicentennial celebration, here are a number of travel deals to Mexico for the Fall and Winter.
Cheap flights for Fall and Winter travel on United and Virgin America from $39 - United and Virgin American currently have airfare sales for domestic travel for the Fall and Winter. Check out destinations close by or from coast to coast.
