This Weekend March 30: Enjoy flowers during April showers

You dont have to wait until May to see the flowers the April showers have brought. In fact, being Portland, its highly possible there will be still be showers during May and June and maybe even July. Take a short drive from Portland to Woodburn and enjoy the 27th Annual Tulip Fest, hosted by the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. Starting today and going through April, pay just $10 per car or $2 per bicycle or motorcycle for admission to wander 40 acres of flowers.

Not only can you enjoy looking at the beautiful blooms, but you can buy fresh-cut flowers and order bulbs on-site to plant yourself and make your garden more colorful and fun. On the farm youll also find a play area for kids, which includes a big slide, duckie races and the cow train ($2 per ride), food and artisan vendors that offer wine tasting, demonstrations, face painting and more, and a gift shop where you can purchase home and garden items. Speak with tulip and daffodil experts that can give you tips on better planting techniques and cultivation.

Save more by visiting on a weekday and pay just half price per car ($5) or get more for your money by going when special events are happening:

April 7, 10am-12pm: Easter Egg Hunt for children 0-11.

April 8, 7am: Easter Service in the tulip fields

April 28, 12pm-8pm: Tulip Garden Party

April 29, 12pm-6pm: Tulip Garden Party

Every weekend: Wooden shoe making, steam tractors, authentic Mexican food, wine tasting with Hauer of the Dauen Winery, crafters marketplace, pony rides, entertainment and rescue birds
