I took my own advice Thursday, September 10, and followed the Phillies down to Washington DC (Follow the Phils: Watch the Phillies take on the Washington Nationals in DC).
The drive was about two and a half hours each way and relatively straightforward. Tolls were less than ten dollars each way, and the most I spentall day was 25 dollarson parking.
After arriving at 4 p.m., my travelpartner and I parked outside of Nationals Stadium and set off for sight-seeingon foot. The essential to budget travel is to prepare onward. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is often in the back of our mind. Planning and spending our travel budget carefully is a priority for most families. Minimizing consuming and prices, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding economizing money while touring is simple: Even if your personal budget is highly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!. Wesaw the CapitolBuilding(pictured at right), Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and spent some time in the Smithsonian Museum (admission is free). Later that evening, we took a taxi ride back to the ballpark and sat amongst the many other Phils fans in attendance. Check out the slideshow for some pictures from the trip!
