In a battle against massive blockbuster budgets, The Alex Film Society proves that there is still a substantial market for classic films.

The Three Stooges film festival reintroduces this hilarious trio of slapstick comedians back to the big screen on Saturday, November 27, 2010.

Ticket Prices:

Adults = $13.50

Students and Seniors = $9.50

Society members = $8.00

By re-airing The Three Stooges in theatres, The Alex Film Society hopes to promote the importance of film preservation. Our community is often overwhelmed by multi-million dollar red carpet events along with constant advances in cinematic technology; it is easy to forget and ignore archives of classics that once dazzled the corridors of Los Angeles. These classic timepieces have existed throughout the creation of the entire movie industry. Watching projection screen productions always seems to create the illusion of going back in time to an era of vintage actors and old-fashioned values.

The historic Alex theatre provides the perfect backdrop for a Three Stooges big screen event. Two shows are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. only.

So for those nostalgic for The Stooges, tickets can be purchased online at the Alex Film Society website. Tickets may also be purchased over the phone for a small service charge.
