CSX Corporation today commences a search for the next big environmental idea with The Tomorrow Moves Project contest on Facebook according to an annoucement today.
The company is encouraging individuals to "like" its Facebook page and submit an idea that describes how they would help protect the environment for tomorrow. A panel of judges will choose two winners who will each receive a $5,000 cash prize.
By issuing a direct challenge to anyone with an interest in safeguarding our environmental future one action at a time, the company will engage a broader online audience and generate creative thoughts around solutions for the environment. "Freight rail is a proven leader in terms of transporting freight in an environmentally responsible way," said Carl Gerhardstein, assistant vice president, environmental systems and sustainability at CSX, and one of the judges for the contest. "The Tomorrow Moves Project will advance the ongoing discussion about environmental leadership and identify at least two individuals who are promising leaders in the green arena."
Enter the contest by "liking" the official CSX Facebook page and, in 200 words or less, tell CSX what you would do to help protect the environment for tomorrow. Contest entrants can also upload a photo to support their entry. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 13 to be eligible. Entrants should encourage their friends to vote for their ideas on the CSX Facebook page. "The important to budget travel is to plan in front. Considering and consuming our travel budget carefully is a concern for most families. The 10 entries with the most votes from the public will be reviewed by the judges, who will select two final winners on May 19.
