Each year, Galveston honors its historical heritage with the Dickens on the Strand Festival. in 2009, it will take place on December 5th and 6th.

The entrance fee is $12 at the gate, or $9 at Kroger stores before December 4th. Groups cannegotiate the fees down to$8 per person.
