Many people feel cast aside because they don't feel they have a passion that took them when they were young. Even though I got inspired and could spend hours playing or exploringmany new curiosities, I have felt that way too.As I mature (yes, I'm still maturing at 30+), I understand the necessity of challenging, opening myself up and shifting paradigms (my own and others). One constant in my life seems to be the need to always put myself in new environments, with no transition periods to really speak of, so I really test my capacity to adapt. After sudden changes in my life, I have been "recalibrating" my sensors. The important to budget travel is to plan onward. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is always in the back of our minds. Planning and consuming our travel budget properly is a concern for most families. Lowering consuming and costs, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind protecting money while vacationing is simple: Even if your personal budget is really tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, regardless of whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel expenses!. WhatIhave been able toput my hands around with more or less certainty, is that I have loved and probably will love for a long long time: travel, photography, and languages/cultures.

Serendipity has made a French teacher and a newborn photographer out of me over the past year. Only one stone is missing: travel. It seems I can't just wait for travel to come my way, it is an ACTIVE journey, and I have decided to postpone it no more. In July 2009, I will take off and follow my hunches to guide my path. My trajectory is not set, but I have several set stops. It will include North American nature gems, historical sites, and stops atmy friends' places. I will take photographs of Antelope Canyon in Arizona, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, glaciers in Alaska, whales in the St Laurent River, changing leaves on the East coast and the Keys' water.

Still a budget specialist (!), I will keep the budget tight. Transportation will be by personal car: gas, religious oil change, pressure checks. Sleeping arrangements will be at hostels or camping. There is free camping provided in certain parks by the Bureau of Land Management. The challenge will be to keep the food healthy without regular access to cooking devicesand refrigeration.
