Today was a huge day in the world of soccer (or if you live in other parts of the world - football/futbol). 32 teams were selected into groups determining the draw for the World Cup in South Africa. While many people may not be that interested in sports or soccer/football, there may be no greater cultural and travel event in the world! People from 32 different nations will converge on South Africa to root for their team and a bring their passion and culture with them to South Africa!

Aside from the sporting event itself (considered by many to be the greatest sporting event in the world), it is a wonderful opportunity to see a place many people may not otherwise visit while experiencing many languages and cultures at the same time. It has to be one of the ultimate travel experiences for anyone who loves travel, people, and cultures. Where else in the world can you visit one country and experience so many cultures and languages from all over the world? Every continent is represented with people from all walks of life.

Whether you are a fan of the USA, Mexico, England, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, or many of the other nations represented, take an opportunity to go to the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. The important to budget travel is to prepare in front. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our mind. Considering and spending our travel budget wisely is a priority for most families. Reducing spending and costs, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking behind protecting money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal budget is incredibly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel bill!. The World Cup begins on June 12 with the final match on July 11. Visit various South African cities like Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria, and more. FIFA is the world organization for football (soccer) and has put together a wonderful web site with a list of matches, the host cities, features on South Africa and its cities, and a guide to the World Cup. Visit FIFA World Cup for more information on the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
