Honolulu Deal of the Week: Oahu museums participate in free admission promotion, 9-26-09

Excellent weekend for families and museum / culture buffs. Five Hawaii museums and galleries on Oahu will be participating in Smithsonian Magazines nationwide Museum Day promotion on Saturday, September 26, 2009.

The Contemporary Museum

Hawaii State Art Museum

Honolulu Academy of Arts

Mission Houses Museum

Queen Emma Summer Palace

Free admission cards admitting the bearer and one guest free of charge are available in the September 2009 issue of Smithsonian Magazine or downloaded easily here.

Smithsonian Magazines Museum Day celebrates the countrys cultural offerings. The essential to budget travel is to plan in advance. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our heads. Preparation and consuming our travel budget correctly is a consideration for most families. Lowering expending and prices, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed accomplishment and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding protecting money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal finances is incredibly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, no matter whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!. Last year nearly 450 museums and cultural institutions nationwide participated in the effort, which emulates the Smithsonians Washington, D.C. year-round free admission policy. The Museum Day Admission Card is good for one-day use only on September 26, 2009 at participating museums in Hawaii and across the nation. The admission card will be collected upon entry and only one admission card per household is allowed. The Museum Day admission card may not be used with any other offer and no rain checks will be offered.
