Ocean front room for $129 a night in San Diego's Pacific Beach

The Ocean Park Inn, situated on San Diego's Pacific Beach, is offering an ocean front room for only $129 a night for two night minimum stays in October. This special rate pulled up for arrival on Wednesday, October 13 and departure on Friday, October 15. The $129 rate also pulled up for a weekend stay from October 29 to October 31.

The Ocean Park Inn is a good choice for budget travelers looking for roomy accommodations with a great view. The room has a microwave and refrigerator to keep food costs down. You can enjoy your complimentary breakfast out on the patio while watching waves crash against the shore.

One of the best things to do in Pacific Beach is simply watching the wide range of characters that gather on the beach and promenade. Families, punk rockers, drunken frat boys, and surfers all converge to have a good time. If you've always dreamed of being a surfer, Pacific Beach Surf Shop offers private instruction for $80 a person or $75 each for two persons. They offer rentals of everything that you need to enjoy Pacific Beach, such as boards, cruisers, bikes, and roller skates. Right next to the Ocean Park Inn is the Firehouse Beach Cafe. Head upstairs to the rooftop terrace for drinks around the fire pit to cap off the night.

Pacific Beach is known for being quite rowdy, especially at night, so those looking for a more serene experience should spend some time in nearby Ocean Beach before retreating to the Ocean Park Inn.

Getting to San Diego: United is offering nonstop flights between San Francisco and San Diego for $119.40 total roundtrip. Southwest is also offering nonstop flights between San Francisco and San Diego for as low as $99.40 total roundtrip.
