The GoPro HD Hero 2 Motorsports edition, action camera system is a great addition to my motorcycle gear and accessories collections. I've spent hundreds of dollars on camera equipment and motorcycle accessories that have been relegated to a pile in the corner of the shed, used once and put away for good because of the lack of promises met. But, that is not true with the GoPro HD Hero 2 Motorsports edition helmet camera. This little camera packs a lot punch, and has several methods for attaching to your motorcycle, helmet or even body. The mounting systems have been thoroughly tested to ensure stability. The camera is gear mountable and wearable with a variety of systems including handlebar mount, helmet mount, and chest mount, I was able to position the camera to get great audio and video, as well as still shots. The accessory to attach the camera to the the helmet gives a great wide angle view of everything around you as you ride. The harness mount that attaches the camera to your chest gives a nice clear view and is an option for those who don't wear helmets, but works better if you don't have a windshield to block the view or if you have a short windshield. The price at $299 MSRP is well worth the money. This is one of the best helmet cameras on the market. The $79 LCD BacPac viewer is an absolute necessity for reviewing footage on the road. And an additional BatteryPac, also at $79 is a must have. That adds up to a lot of money when you start doing the figures, but it is money well spent and the product will last a long time. The camera shoots 170 degree wide angle video, 1080p quality, 11 megapixel photos at a rate of 10 photos per second. It is waterproof to 197 feet.
