If you didn't make it to Yosemite this summer, there's still time for you yet. Fall is a great time to visit Yosemite. The crowds are gone, the weather is cooler, and the beautiful shades of autumn contrast magnificently against the gray granite formations.
Evergreen Lodge, one mile from Yosemite's western border, is offering 25% off their cabins for weekday stays from September 26 to October 27, 2010. A Deluxe Queen Cabin, which can fit four people, is reduced from $215 to $161 for a 3 night stay starting September 27. The cabin offers a private deck, a queen bed, a sitting area with a queen sofa bed, and a cast iron fireplace.
Evergreen Lodge is also close to Hetch Hetchy, which is often overlooked by tourists but offers views and trails rivaling Yosemite Park.
The Lodge is about 3 - 3 1/2 hour away from San Francisco. Check road and weather conditions before heading out.
