A.B.A.T.E. Swap Meet in Little Rock a great success

Judging by the number of vendors present and the throngs of riders descending on the state Fairgrounds in Little Rock, Arkansas, Saturday and Sunday, the 26th annual A.B.A.T.E. swap meet and ride in bike show was a huge success. The venue in the Hall of Industry was a great place to host an event of this type. There were vendors selling both new and used wares, inside and out, and the motorcycle enthusiast had a large selection of parts, accessories, apparal, and even motorcycles to choose from. There were tires, trailers, fenders, frames, helmets, jewelry, pins and patches, leathers, used parts, new parts, and much more available. And, the prices were very reasonable for both new and used items. Lander's Harley-Davidson had a sign up that read "ignore the prices, make us an offer", and they were truly accepting almost any offer. I saw $50 t-shirts sell for just $5.

My understanding is that last year's event was held under cold and drizzly conditions, but this year's near perfect weather, climbing into the 70's was no doubt, a boost to attendance. This is an annual event, and you can be certain I'll be looking for the announcement of the date for next year, and riding the 3 1/2 hours from Shreveport to LIttle Rock for this swap meet. Also keeping in mind that while traveling, whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel expenses!..".
