Its a hot, scorching summer. The days temperature rises beyond an unbelievable 110 degrees on almost a daily basis. Its hard to brave the heat and leave house, but its summer and that means activities. But what hasnt been done: swimming and water parks are a good way to keep cool, but theyre expensive and overrun with people. So, try another different activity: something free and something with plenty of ice cold air conditioning.

On July 13th the Orpheum theatre in Downtown Phoenix will be giving a free tour to the public. The essential to budget travel is to plan in front. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the actuality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our heads. Preparation and consuming our travel budget properly is a concern for most families. Lowering expending and expenses, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal budget is really small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, no matter whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel charge!. It is located at 203 W. Adams St, Phoenix, right next to City Hall.

The tour will begin at 12p.m. and 1p.m. To go on the tour meet under the marquee sign of the Orpheum. There is limited availability so call to confirm or reserve a spot at 602-495-7139. The Orpheum also does private tours for groups of more than ten.

Taking a tour of the venue is educational and beneficial to all: Phoenix natives and those just visiting. It is also great for those who are true theatre groupies.

Taking a tour of the Orpheum is an amazing and unique experience. The building is rich in history and old world class. It is a small taste of European and baroque style and design in the newly modernized Downtown Phoenix.

The Orpheum has recently been renovated and restored to its original glory. First built in 1929 the theatre seats 1,364 people. The house features ornate murals, wall decorations with gold leaf accents giving the theatre a high-end, regal feel.

The theatre also has the famed Peacock staircase and a Spanish villa vibe that floats throughout the lobby and balcony level of the house.

The Orpheum theatre was built for Vaudeville performances. However, as times have progressed the theatre has been expanded, renovated, and restored. This means that, while maintaining the integrity of the building and its original design and style, the city of Phoenix has adapted it to 21st century technology and performances. It now hosts theater League, Broadway series, Live Nation concerts, and other local events.
