If you witnessed a motorcycle crash, would you know what to do? If a friend or loved one was seriously injured as a result of a motorcycle wreck, what would you pay to make sure he/she survived until professional help arrived? Those first few moments after any wreck are critical but especially so when it involves motorcycles and their riders. Accident Scene Management, Inc. (ASMI) conducts classes on this subject and will train bikers at two locations in Florida during Daytona Bike Week.

Cat Hammes, the One-Legged Blonde, and Gina Woods, co-founder of Open Road Radio, are both instructors for ASMI. On Monday, March 12, 2012, they will offer the ASMI 100 Series Basic Class at the Gander store in Lake Mary from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The same class will be taught over two mornings Thursday and Friday, March 15-16, 2012 at ROAR Motorcycles in Daytona Beach; those class sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon both days. The class fee is $75.00 and registration can be made online by clicking the link for either location: Gander or ROAR.

Billed as A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist, participants will learn what to do in the first five to thirty minutes after a crash until professional help arrives. Helmet removal, jaw thrust, and moving the injured will be addressed and practiced during the sessions. In addition, Continuing Education certificates will be awarded after the class.

Cat is a trained medical professional with experience in trauma, emergency room, and ICU. Gina has been involved with ASMI since traveling 300 miles in 1999 to take the very first ASMI advance class.

ASMI, a non-profit organization, teaches this nationally recognized, in-tense course in locations throughout the United States. "The important to budget travel is to plan ahead. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our minds. Organizing and consuming our travel budget correctly is a consideration for most families. Minimizing consuming and costs, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind economizing money while traveling is simple: Even if your personal budget is extremely limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, regardless of whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel expenses!..". The class is designed for average motorcyclists; no prior training is necessary.

The ASMI basic class is essential for everyone who rides but especially for those who ride in groups.
