This Weekend March 24: Portlands first annual Malt Ball

Do you like music and beer? Do you often enjoy them together? Then get together with a bunch of folks just like yourself and experience a dozen awesome (and local) indie bands paired with delicious, delicious local brews. How is this different from my typical Saturday night, you might ask? Well, the lineup of bands at the Malt Ball, playing at the Bossanova Ballroom, have had beers specifically chosen and in some cases specially crafted to go with their music so you can get the full effects of each. Maybe you will never be able to fully appreciate Haver Bier from the Commons Brewery again without listening to The Golden Bears, but youll never know until you go to the Malt Ball this Saturday, now will you?

For just $20 ($25 day of show, so buy them now), you get admission and the chance to hear 10 hours of cool live music, four tasting tokens and a commemorative mug. You can purchase more tasting tokens at the event. What better way to check out two of Portlands most hopping scenes than by combining them in this fun (and fairly affordable) event. This event is for ages 21 and over. "The essential to budget travel is to prepare ahead.
