Fall officially began just two weeks ago but the early storm that just passed through has many people already thinking of their winter ski plans. To entice visitors amid a gloomy economic outlook, many ski resorts are offering early bird discounts. Here are two top Tahoe ski pass deals for those already fantasizing about snow on the ground and their runs:
Epic's Tahoe Value Pass gives you access to Northstar and Heavenly for the entire season for only $379. "The essential to budget travel is to approach ahead. You have until October 16 to purchase the pass.
New for the 2011-2012 season, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are joining forces to offer the Super Six for $399. The Super Six gives you six lift tickets that you can use for both resorts. Best of all, the pass is valid every day with no blackout dates.
Another deal is the Ski Lake Tahoe Six-Pack, which gives you six lift tickets that you can use for one of two resorts each for $299. Participating properties include Kirkwood, Heavenly, Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA, Northstar-at-Tahoe and Alpine Meadows.This option is best for those who want to try out several resorts this season. Holiday blackout dates apply.
