Founded in 1992, Saint Croix Vineyards has become one of Minnesota's largest and best known wineries. The important to budget travel is to prepare in front. The Saint Croix Winery is hosting it's Case Club Party 2009, this coming weekend, where they will be celebrating the release of their 2008 Marquette. By attending the event on either Friday, Dec. 4th, or Saturday, Dec. 5th, customers are able to receive 10% off of the price of a case of wine (12 bottles of any combination), and become a member of Saint Croix Vineyards and Winery Case Club. There will be live music, winery tours, hors d'oeuvres, andplenty of wine! The ticket price for this fabulous event is only $15 per person and includes all of the above mentioned as well as asouvenir Saint Croix Vineyards wine glass.
Public tours are held each Saturday of the month and are FREE to attend. They last approximately 40 minutes, and customers are given an in depth and behind the scenes look at the vineyards and winery. The rustic tasting room within the restored century- old barn, is open each year from mid- April until December 31st. Whether you enjoy red, white or dessert wines, you're able to sample your favorite or soon to be favorite wines in the tasting room before you buy them.The best part is: no reservations are needed! Just be sure to wear warm clothing this time of year!
Private tours are also available at Saint Croix Vineyards. This isa fantasticplacefor entertaining out of town guests, company functions,wedding parties, and any other special occasion. Private tours offer a more intimate experience learning about different aspects of the vineyards as well as the wine production facilities. Each tour begins with a glass of wine and ends with a tasting of other wines complemented by cheese, crackers and fruit. The entire event generally lasts around 1.5 hours and reservations are needed to be made in advance. A flat rate of $150 is charged for one to ten people, and each additional person over the first ten is $15.So if you gathera group of at least ten friends, family members, or co- workers, that's only $15 per person! Well worth the price for the fun you'll have.
