Check out the Entertainment book coupons before you get into a museum, there are places to buy it at a discount since its only valid until 11/30/2009. The essential to budget travel is to plan in advance. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the truth of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our mind. Arranging and spending our travel budget correctly is a priority for most families. Lowering consuming and fees, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievements and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind economizing money while touring is simple: Even if your personal funds is extremely small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel costs!. Also, if you get a head-start on the weekend, many museums -if not all- are free on Thursdays.
Plan ahead: look up on Ebay or Craigslist for local tickets (museums, shows, games), the seller might be willing to meet you at the entrance. If you have specific criteria foryour activities,or you are open minded/artsy, the Houston Press (free magazine) is a good read to pick up or query online to plan out your festive weekend. Moreover, the hardcopy has coupons, including for HMNS (Natural Science Museum).
Day trips:
Dont forget these neighboring cities within 1 hour of Houston (in order of subjective potential event-fullness): Galveston, Clearlake, Spring, Woodlands, Sugarland, Kemah, Katy, Conroe, Baytown, Pearland. They are the spot to hit for horse races, greyhound races, laser tag places, drive-in theatres, beaching, picnicking, boat cruises, kayaking, and other water sports.
