Kinsey Gallery gets people talking about sex

Indiana is not exactly known as the epicenter of the sexual revolution. But long before the free love movement took America by storm in the 1960s, Indiana University professor Alfred Kinsey published some groundbreaking research about sex that got people talking...and blushing.

Although Kinsey died in 1956, his legacy lives on at Indiana University's Kinsey Institute on the Bloomington campus.

Although much of the institute's work goes on beyond closed doors and in academic journals like Journal of Sex Research, the Kinsey Institute Gallery has become a minor tourist attraction.

The artistic pieces at the Kinsey Gallery are not for the easily offended or the prudish. Some are quite audacious and controversial. Some may leave you laughing. Some may leave you uncomfortable. But none of them will leave you bored.
