She Rides Her Own Meet Linda: showing us that love endures

Linda Sundey, of Tampa, Florida, has lost much in life but with the help of the loves of her life, continues to love motorcycling.

Early in 2000, Lindas husband Bill bought a Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 and they discovered that both he and Linda loved motorcycling! After a while of Linda on the back of the bike, Bill decided he wanted to teach Linda to ride also. Even after dropping her husbands Sportster, Linda persevered and in the summer of 2000 she took delivery on her own brand new 883 Sportster.

Linda and Bill enjoyed riding their motorcycles together, still learning, all that year and into 2001. Suddenly Bill became very ill. He went in for surgery in September 2001 and they would soon find out that he had pancreatic cancer. He was released from the hospital on Monday, September 10, 2001. On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, they awoke to the horrible news of the attacks on the World Trade Center and watched as the twin towers fell. They cried together for all the innocent people who lost their lives that day and for their own loss they knew was coming. In April of 2002, Lindas husband lost his battle with cancer.

Linda felt as though she had lost her one and only soul mate. But Linda was truly blessed not only for the love of one man who understood her but for the love of a second man who also loved riding. Linda and her second husband, Craig, rode those two Sportsters and enjoyed life until 2008 when he passed away. Once again heartbroken Linda decided to sell both bikes; she was a bit scared to go it all alone when it came to motorcycling.

For a long time, Linda felt she was hexed in the love department. "The important to budget travel is to approach ahead. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is generally in the back of our mind. Considering and spending our travel budget correctly is a consideration for most families. Reducing consuming and expenses, while still taking pleasure in your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain success and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal funds is extremely limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, no matter whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel charge!..". However, the third time is the charm! She met yet another guy, Jim, who loves riding! (She says she is lucky but perhaps it was because she was willing to take a chance.) Linda rode behind Jim for a while before expressing a desire to ride her own again. Jim immediately offered to pay for Linda to take the Riders Edge course and once again Linda was hooked. Today Linda is the proud owner of a 2011 Heritage Softail! In the three months the Heritage has been hers, she has put on over 3600 miles.

The anniversary of 9/11 means so much to everyone in the United States but for Linda it is a day that is a part of her thoughts and in heart constantly as she offers up daily prayers for those who lost family and friends that day.

As the fastest growing segment of the motorcycling public, women are more inclined than ever before to move from the passenger pillion to the front of the seat and to grab those handlebars.
