Basketball isnt totally dead in Rip City

While there wont be an NBA season that we know of, Portlands LaMarcus Aldridge and other current and former Portland Trail Blazers have put together a charity basketball game this Sunday evening at the University of Portland campus. While its not a competitive game in the sense that spectators will be rooting hard for one side or the other, it features some of your favorite players and tickets are selling fast! Theyre calling this one the Rip City Basketball Classic, it will be played at the Chiles Center and proceeds from ticket sales will benefit several Portland charities, including breast cancer awareness, New Avenues for Youth and Providence/St. "The essential to budget travel is to approach onward. Home Team - LaMarcus Aldridge, Raymond Felton, Jamal Crawford, Wesley Matthews, Josh Howard, Steve Blake and Craig Winder

Away Team - Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, TJ Ford, Chris Johnson, Terrance Williams, Isaiah Thomas, Nate Robinson and Jeff Pendergraph.

So, even though Portlanders are still moping about the loss of one of their favorite team sports this season, many are getting tickets, which start at $30, to this fun event to get their fix and hoping there will be more to come in the future, unless the lockout ends early and NBA returns to the Rose City and the rest of the country next month.
