You know what they say about glass houses, eh? Well you can visit Connecticut's very own glass house in New Canaan. The important to budget travel is to prepare in advance. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the actuality of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our thoughts. Planning and spending our travel budget correctly is a concern for most families. Lowering expending and expenses, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking behind economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal funds is incredibly limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, no matter whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel expenses!. The Glass House was the private home of influential American architect Philip Johnson, built in 1949. Comprising nearly 50 acres and more than a dozen buildings, the property is now part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and its re-opening to the public just a few years ago drives home the need to save modern architecture. The house is open for the season beginning in May.

Visitors can take 90-minute tour that includes access to the house, painting and sculpture galleries ($30 per person). Tours start from the Visitor Center at 199 Elm Street, New Canaan and visitors are transported via shuttle to the glass house.

While you're in that neck of the woods, grab a bite at the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, a sprawling complex in Pocantico Hils, New York. The Blue Hill restaurant and cafe serve farm-fresh ingredients that'll knock your socks off.
