Travel deals: Belize, the Cook Islands, and Summit County

This weeks travel deals include a resort on the beach in Belize, great airfares to the Cook Islands, and Summit County condos.

Belize is a destination for die-hard diving fans, and its beaches and laid-back atmosphere can mean a great vacation for anyone. Livingsocial.com has a partnered with the Jaguar Reef Lodge and Spa offering a six-night stay for two in an Ocean View Cabana until April 15 for $795. Wait until April 16 to travel and stay for $695. Getting to the resort is a challenge, since major airlines fly into Belize City and travelers need to take an intra-country airline to Dangriga. From Denver, a quick look found 2 stops, one in Houston and one in Belize City for $995, roundtrip. If youre up for adventure, this could be it!

Many have New Zealand on their bucket list. This is an expensive destination, but Air New Zealand has lowered fares to the Cook Islands. Depart on Sundays and return Saturdays for $848 roundtrip, with taxes, from Los Angeles. Travel from June 3 through August 26. Air New Zealand is the only airline that flies this route from North America. The Islands have a temperate climate not unlike Hawaii. A little closer to home, Groupon Getaways is offering stays at SkyRun Vacation Rentals. Choose from two or three nights in a one-, two-, or three-bedroom condo starting at $357 for two nights. SkyRun has resorts in Keystone, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain. Each unit complete completely outfitted and most complexes have hot tubs or jetted tubs to soak away the days activities. For more flexibility, spend $25 to receive a $125 credit for a future rental.
