It's not necessarily true to claim that travel is a way of life or even a lifestyle. For some, of course, it is. But these days, travel is more of an art form that is interpreted differently by each person - and is no longer for a select elite. Sure, to do so within a tight budget requires a certain attitude and sense of flexibility, but sign up for a credit card that will reward you with air miles and give up your daily double skim fat-free vanilla machiatto in lieu of some crappy office coffee, and presto! In a few months you may just have afforded yourself a trip.

When you really look at the things you think are holding you back, none are actually that prohibitive.

The truth is, for the most part, most people crave some sort of travel. The reason people don't is because of the "but". That "but" can preface a whole slew of reasons why a person cannot get away. Whether it's money, work, relationships, or any number of variables in our lives-- something is always stopping people. It's that "but" stigma we're constantly trying to get over, when seeing the world and experiencing different cultures and ways of life should never be something that can truly change us all for the better.

Kids? No problem.

Job? Work around it.

Money? It's there.

No partner? Go solo.

You don't have to be a trust-fund kid. You can live in one of the most expensive cities in the world with a full time job, and one that has you working to the bone most weeks and pays enough to barely make your staggering rent. Yet you can still manage to get away to some of the most amazing corners of the globe-- and do some on a dime. All it takes is a little resourcefulness, flexibility and open-mindedness- coupled with a little guidance. "The key to budget travel is to prepare onward. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our heads. Organizing and spending our travel budget wisely is a concern for most families. Lowering spending and fees, while still delighting your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievements and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding economizing money while vacationing is simple: Even if your personal finances is really small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, no matter whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel bill!..".

Travel is absolutely affordable, and if you're already reading this- you know its rewarding. The thrill of skating along an endless network of steel rail comprised of nothing more than ATM receipts and an accent from nowhere is unmatched. Some create a week in their work life out of it, others a career sabbatical, and still others a lifestyle. I'm here to inspire you to chase all three.

But dont forget about your home. Plenty of amazing opportunities and wonders can exist right in your backyard dont ignore those.

It's about balance. All too often travelers who exist in a state of permanent wanderlust miss out on what's actually going on around them while they're prepping for their next exit. There's no sense in living one travel adventure to the next. Having New York as a home base you can stay constantly engaged in the culture the world has to offer all around you. It's a rare luxury, which can be afforded at luxurious prices. But look around a little harder, and the deals are there too.

So don't be afraid to be inspired. Lets go.
