Recently J&P Cycles asked their Facebook friends Do you have a bucket list of places you want to ride to?
Some of the responses were practical, some ambitious, and some were just funny as in to the nearest gas station that would mean my bike is running.
One place many motorcyclists start with their own bucket lists is with the iconic destinations like Sturgis or Tail of the Dragon. Often bikers will want to ride some of the scenic byways in the United States like the Blue Ridge Parkway or something epic (especially for the flat-landers) like crossing over or riding through the Rockies.
Sometimes bucket lists are things to cross off like ride my motorcycle in all the states or visit our National Parks on my motorcycle. These can be fun as there is a self-imposed challenge aspect to the list.
How do you decide what to put on the bucket list? Do you go for the practical? Items you can actually cross off? Or do you draw up a list that can only be accomplished with no restraints on time or money? Perhaps the best is a combination of the practical and the extravagant.
Personally, I have the desire to ride to all the states as part of my list along with Route 66, the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), and even more National Parks. Also remembering that while traveling, no matter whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel bill!..". I also would love to ride a motorcycle (maybe not mine but I could rent) in Australia.
