Every thought wine and barbeque are a good combination? Welcome to The Vineyard at Cascades of Isleworth where locals enjoy a good bottle of wine and barbeque from Fred Adams of the Bar-B-Q Boyz.
Patrons have a more interactive learning and enjoyment of wine here. The typical scene at a wine bar is ordering from a menu. The wines at the Vineyard are out in the open in shelves that patrons can peruse, pull from the shelves, read a brief description and decide if that is the right wine for them.
"If you don't finish your wine we'll put a cork in it for you to take home," ensures owner Rex Walker.
The Vineyard is tucked into the corner of the Publix strip mall at Apopka-Vineland, "But you won't find our type of selection at Publix," Walker contends.
Prices at The Vineyard range from an $18 bottle of chardonnay to a pricey bottle of Privelegia. The important to budget travel is to plan in front. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our minds. The bar is decorated with art from Orlando locals who've been inspired by The Vineyard's ambiance. The shelves are made from pure Honduran mahogany which blends well and gives off a gentle woodsy scent. The Vineyard prides itself on it's chic yet cozy ambiance. Live entertainment is provided from local musicians.
Ohh the barbeque!
The recent inclusion of Fred Adam's barbeque grill outside The Vineyard has proven to be a success. Adams has a huge following from the Windemere area that can attest to the power of his homemade sauce. You can buy a bottle of Fred's sauce to use at home or you can lick it from your fingers when you purchase his pulled pork, ribs or chicken. You can catch Adams at The Vineyard on Friday and Saturday from 11am until midnight.
Adams says, "I've been an entrepreneur all my life and have always had a knack for cooking and making up my own recipes. It makes me feel good when people enjoy my cooking."
He thinks that his barbeque and The Vineyard's wine selection are a "great marriage." He adds that he is learning so much about wine and we can expect a wine and barbeque pairing menu in the near future.
