Attention all mini-knife yielding champions. Rogers Gardens of Corona del Mar is cordially inviting pumpkin carvers from near and far to exhibit their skills of cutlery and scoopage. On the morning of Saturday, October 30, deliver an already decorated pumpkin to the carving contest area of this seven acre gardening arena.

Whether simple or elaborate, the bright orange organic lanterns will be judged according to three categories: Children, Carved, and Painted.

Rogers Gardens offers an exquisite atmosphere of both indoor and outdoor flora. At the ends of the gardens paths are sweet little art galleries currently showcasing Halloween collectibles and ornate Christmas ornaments. Prizes for the pumpkin carving contest award the winners with gift certificates that can be used towards the purchase of artwork, flowers, pottery, fountains, future events, and gardening seminars.

Garden hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Competitors must have their entries ready and turned in before 4:00 p.m.
