Pink Bridal Show: Part II

The Pink Bridal Show was a spectacular treat for the senses and very informative for brides and grooms who were truly in search of a path to simplify their wedding day. In addition to highlighting premier vendors offering top notch services, the Pink Bridal Show presented a fabulous runway show sponsored by Davids Bridal.

Davids Bridal has long been considered a leader in providing cost effective options for the everyday bride. But have not always been recognized in the world of couture or high fashion. But this years runway show revealed a different side of the bridal industry power house. This runway show offered the tried and true selections considered customary for Davids Bridal but they also presented a completely new and fresh myriad of higher end contributions that made one feel like they had just stumbled into fashion week.

Davids Bridal is still unsurpassed at providing matching pieces and ensembles for the entire bridal party and they partner with Mens Warehouse to insure that the males in the party look just as dapper as their female counter parts.

Highlights from the runway of Davids Bridal:

Bridal gowns were lighter and airier.
Jewel tones and metallics dominated for bridal party ensembles.
Bridesmaids' dresses were short, strapless and flirty (the kind of bridesmaid dress you can actually wear again).
Veils were replaced with flowery hair pendants and understated head pieces with the exception of the occasional cathedral veil that did not have an associated blusher for the face. Tiaras were all but non-existent.
Mens pant lengths were noticeably higher. Pants were much more tailored and fitted hearkening back to this years Oscars.
Mens suit styles were a magical blend of modern and classic. Some tuxedos had the traditional satin stripe down the leg but where modernized by a sateen finish to the fabric.
Flower girl styles were cute and fresh. These tiny dresses could be worn to church or the beach. "The important to budget travel is to prepare in front. Also recalling that while traveling, regardless of whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!..". Not one was fussy or frilly.
Little boy attire was a miniaturized version of the men. They stayed classic and timeless.

A surprise highlight of the show, just before the runway portion began was when producer Fred Jacod, startled the few grooms-to-be in attendance by beckoning them to come on stage. Apprehensively, 16 aloof grooms straggled on stage. Jacob asked random questions about their fiancs and tested them to see if they remembered important dates like their first kiss or first date. Most answered accurately, albeit sheepishly. The reward to all the men for enduring the 5 minutes of humiliation was a titanium band provided by Platinum Jewelers, one of the vendors at the Bridal Show.

Brides and grooms walked away well informed and highly entertained by this years show. Nashville and surrounding areas will get another chance to experience the Pink Bridal show in Murfreesboro on October, 14 from 12-4pm. Dont miss it!
