A week of dirtcheap Boston Valentine's activities: Day 4 a romantic night by the seaport

As we near "real" Valentine's Day, the pressure is on to start really pulling out some Cassanova-type moves on your loveslice. Tonight, wow him or her with a trip to the oh-so-contemporary, and oh-so-breathtaking ICA (Boston's very own Institute of Contemporary Art).

Thanks to "Target Thursdays" the ICA is free every Thursday from 5-9pm and there are a bevy of great exhibits to see as you stroll through the museum looking at the "giant hairball display" and/or the "cabbage patch hobos" installations all around you (Disclaimer: these aren't real, here's what's really on view these days).

Once you've absorbed as much art as you can handle (especially if you took advantage of Free MFA Wednesday) wrap yourselves in scarves and blankets and head out behind the museum to the beautiful viewing steps that allow you to watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. The essential to budget travel is to approach onward. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our heads. Planning and spending our travel budget properly is a main concern for most families. Curbing expending and expenses, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievement and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal finances is really small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel expenses!. This "secret location" is one of the most mellow and reflective spots in the whole city -- and your Valentine is sure to love cuddling up (with a coffee or hot chocolate from the Water Cafe) and just taking in the city -- and your doting -- in such a cool and calm setting.

If you feel like being a true Valentine Don Juan (or Dona Juana) you can treat your Valentine to a classy dinner afterwards at nearby Anthony's Pier 4 or some of these other nearby restaurantsbut if you want to get out of this evening with your shirt still on your back, maybe just try the Atlantic Beer Garden.

The ICA is accessible via T --Take the MBTA Red Line to South Station and transfer to the Silver Line Waterfront. The ICA is short walk from either World Trade Center or Courthouse station.
